I'm currently a class 12th student preparing for NEET and the board exams too ofc. I am not too great in studies. I got 95.6% in Class 10th and got few Olympiad medals...

This Corona situation has changed what "Normal" was few months back. Stuck in quarantine, We students hace faced a serious challenge. Challenge that are we ready to utilize this Gold-mine of time or Wasting it for watching couple of Netflix shows.

NEET - Medical entrance exam

Basic information-

  • 720 total marks (180 - physics, 180 - chemistry and 360 biology)
  • 3 hours exam
  • (+4) (-1) grading system
  • 180 total questions
  • 11th and 12th combined syllabus

Subject-Wise Analysis

(1) BIOLOGY

As NEET is a medical entrance exam, So, Biology having 50% weightage of the total question paper feels justified (at least to me, lol).
Biology (according to local surveys) is considered the easiest among the 3 subjects.
So,

Biology is Easy + Has  Max. Weightage = Most Important

As, Biology takes the least time to attempt in an exam, it is generally attempted the first in the order.

Books - NCERT in Biology is it's the Bible (Or Gita, Quran etc, lol). The point is 90% of the questions in Biology is taken directly from NCERT. It will certainly ensure  your Selection in top medical colleges.

(2)CHEMISTRY -

Consists of 1/4th of the question paper. Chemistry is the underrated rank booster out of the all the other subjects.

Books - NCERT again is ignored a lot, but from NEET point of view, it actually is the core requirement.
'MTG NCERT at you fingertips' is a good Q/A book.

(3)PHYSICS -

Considered the toughest, it is feared by 90% of the aspirants.
The biggest mistake an aspirant of NEET can do is limiting himself/herself to Easy questions.
Knowing the concept and its application is a must for a tricky subject of Physics.

Books - HC Verma is the best concept building book in my opinion. If you prepare a chapter from this book, it means that chapter becomes your strength.

  • Bonus Tip
You noticed the order - Biology, Chemistry and then Physics. That is the most preferred order of attempting questions in the exam.

I'll wrap it here, guys.
