Corona situation has changed what we used to call "Normal" in the past. Stuck in the Quarantine, We (students) face a serious challenge. The challenge is the decision to whether utilize this Gold-Mine of Time on studying or waste it in watching couple of Netflix shows.
Myths Or Misconceptions is the state of unawareness among (us) students about some key aspects that we realize later and regret.
I am writing this after experiencing it myself.
MYTHS BUSTING MODE - ON!
You know for sure, mobile phones are great source of distraction. Netflix, PUBG, other games, YouTube etc are some major ones. So We are expected to neglect mobiles altogether?
NO! Phone can be a great source of information. It totally depends on whether You control the phone controls you. Willpower is the key. How bad do you want the Selection in IIT Bombay or AIIMS Delhi?
You either want it or you don't want it. There is no maybe or probably.
Many toppers, like Bhavik Bansal, used YouTube for an hour daily but didn't watch T.V. altogether. His physics teacher made them a WhatsApp group. Students used to send their doubts in that and everyone took it on their Ego to solve it.
This is how you can effectively use your Mobile phone.
(5)Sports
This is glorified by eveyone that all we should do is Study in these two years of preparation. Playing sports for even an hour a day is considered bad for the study pattern.
This is not entirely true.
I'm not saying this. Toppers are. Sarthak Bhat AIR 6 in NEET was a national level Badminton player. Nalin Khandelwal AIR 1 in NEET used to play Table Tennis as a Hobby. Each of them has mentioned that it has important role in uplifting their mental state.
(6) Revision Of 11th
This is from personal point of view. This will not certainly apply to everyone.
Generally speaking, an average or above average student managed to revise the 11th standard's syllabus around 2-3 times.
But the topper of the exam is the one who has revised it at least 6-7 times. That is around 3 times of an average student. This is where the difference of marks cone into play.
- Bonus Tip - Submit your phone to one of your parents. And tell them that I'll take it from you for 1-2 hours only. Please snatch it from me later.
